sandwichslap This album is awesome. I remember I bought it several years ago from a reddit post for r/salt lake or r/utah. I love chiptune, and was more than happy to support a local artist. I found this album again, as I only had access to it on my ipod and don't remember what account I had purchased this under.

Now I'm jamming out to some great nostalgia.

Did I ever tell you about the man who taught his asshole to talk? His whole abdomen would move up and down you dig, farting out the words. It was unlike anything I ever heard... a bubbly, thick stagnant sound, a sound you could smell. This man worked for a carnival you dig, and to start with it was like a novelty ventriliquist act. After a while the ass start talking on its own. He would go in without anything prepared and his ass would ad-lib and toss the gags back at him every time. Then it developed sort of teeth-like little raspy in-curving hooks and started eating. He thought this was cute at first and built an act around it, but the asshole would eat its way through his pants and start talking on the street, shouting out it wanted equal rights. It would get drunk, too, and have crying jags nobody loved it and it wanted to be kissed same as any other mouth. Finally it talked all the time day and night, you could hear him for blocks screaming at it to shut up, and beating it with his fist, and sticking candles up it, but nothing did any good and the asshole said to him: “It’s you who will shut up in the end. Not me. Because we don't need you around here any more. I can talk and eat and shit.” After that he began waking up in the morning with a transparent jelly like a tadpole’s tail all over his mouth. He would tear it off his mouth and the pieces would stick to his hands like burning gasoline jelly and grow there. So finally his mouth sealed over, and the whole head would have have amputated spontaneously except for the eyes you dig. That's one thing the asshole couldn't do was see. It needed the eyes. Nerve connections were blocked and infiltrated and atrophied so the brain couldn't give orders any more. It was trapped in the skull, sealed off. For a while you could see the silent, helpless suffering of the brain behind the eyes. Then finally the brain must have died, because the eyes went out, and there was no more feeling in them than a crab’s eyes on the end of a stalk.

Taken away from the feeling of touch I've never needed to feel it this much I'll climb the walls and let you hold the key Scrapping the past and then planting the seeds I'll hold this candle if you'll dig my grave the dark perfect earth will consume me again and we all go home like we used to be a child in the world, learning to see (This isn't brave... it's murder. What did I ever do to you?) Open your heart and become who you are follow the waves back, follow the stars

about

My name is Jack Daniel Young and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I'm a Media Music student at Salt Lake Community College, and I'm pursuing a career in composing and audio production for TV, film and video games. I am open to any inquiries, offers of collaboration or projects to work on... just contact me at toasterpastriesmusic@gmail.com

This is "works-to-date" album of sorts; all of this material was made with no album concept in mind. They were made over the last five years or so as a result of me just practicing music and trying new things. I often try to imagine a scene, a deep emotion, some internal perspective far removed from myself, and then write music for it. Most of my music has undertones of conflict and tension, some it tries to relate peace and harmony. Others are just there to lay down a beat and be exciting. I can't help but let some of my weirdo sense of humor leak out into the music sometimes, I hope you don't mind too terribly.

Most of this music was made with Propellerheads Reason 6.5. Some of it was made with a Nintendo Game Boy DMG-01 using LSDJ.

Thanks: Mom, Dad, Hayley, Rob, Nicole+family, Rob Mosher, Mike Hackett, Shane Hunt, Will Archer, Whil McCutchan, Dallas Sinquefield, Scott Tuckfield, Yvette Ungricht, Julian Roberts, Ransom Wydner, Jesse Snow, Geoff Dillman, twinkletoes, TheEnd, Freque and the NoiChan community. And you, if you read all the way to here or listened to my music, thank you very much for your time and support.
